C-Tane Plus™raises the cetane rating of diesel fuels for significant
operating improvements. Cetane is measure of a fuels ability to
auto-ignite. With diesel engines this is a critical factor affecting
cold starting, power output, emissions, and the operating sound
level of the engine. Most OEM engine manufacturers recommend
a cetane rating of 45 to 50, while most fuels available in the US
and Canada provide a rating of 40.
